Hours 4-8 hours per week (weekday evenings and/or weekends only)
About One Degree
One Degree mentors and supports GCSE students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We help young people build confidence in themselves and improve their academic performance so they can reach their potential.
The Role
We are looking for dedicated and inspiring teachers to join our online mentoring programme.
This role will focus on leading the Maths curriculum. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering a collaborative syllabus, working closely with One Degree mentors and teachers from our partner schools. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed.
What the role involves

Coordinating and developing the GCSE Maths syllabus

Working with mentors and school teachers to ensure consistency and quality

Recording lessons for on-demand use and creating supporting resources

Delivering live online sessions through our custom-built mentoring platform
- Meeting students 1-on-1 and in small group format online for tutoring
What we’re looking for

A secondary school teacher with experience teaching Maths at GCSE level

Strong communication and collaboration skills

A genuine enthusiasm for motivating and inspiring young people
- Comfortable with online teaching environments
