Hours 4-8 hours per week (weekday evenings and/or weekends only)

About One Degree
One Degree mentors and supports GCSE students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We help young people build confidence in themselves and improve their academic performance so they can reach their potential.

The Role
We are looking for GCSE English and Maths tutors to support our online programme during after-school hours.

As a tutor, you’ll work alongside our volunteer mentors and teachers to provide extra guidance for students. This is a chance to make a real difference to young people by helping them build skills, boost their confidence, and prepare for exams.

What the role involves

• Supporting students in English or Maths at GCSE level

• Working with mentors and teachers to deliver engaging sessions

• Being available for after-school online sessions through our mentoring platform – meeting students 1-on-1 and in small group format online for tutoring

What we’re looking for

• Experience tutoring English or Maths at GCSE level

• Clear and supportive communication skills

• A genuine interest in helping young people reach their potential

• Comfortable with online teaching environments
